Hi Stefano:
We make our cams to the same hardness as the stock factory cams. The stage 1 to 3
cams are designed to run with the stock valve springs so we expect cam life to be similar to
the stock cams. The best 1.6 cam for street use / race day use is a stage 3 intake cam with
a stage 2 exhaust cam. This makes a little more horsepower than the stage 2 cams on both
intake and exhaust. To get the most out of these cams, you need a programmable
aftermarket ecu and some time on a chassis dyno. The stage 2 cams with the stock ecu
make about 125 hp. The stage 3 intake / stage 2 exhaust cams make about 150 - 155 hp
with an aftermarket ecu and dyno tuning, headers, and free flow intake. The new steel billet
cams cost $744 per pair + shipping and take 2 - 3 weeks to make after you place the order...
