This is the Arrow, a fender brace designed and produced here in Greece.

MIG welded, will be powdercoated, weighting 2050 gr each.

Here are all the pics I have from the prototype brace [Immagine: thumb-up.gif]

Here are the introductry links from my site
http://www.jdmbits.com/2012/04/introduci...r-mx5.html

http://www.jdmbits.com/2012/05/now-avail...-wing.html

And here is the complete DIY fitting guide

All the hard work is to remove the front bumper and both wings.
Detailed guides on how to do that in both NA and NB Miatas are all over the net.
Too many bolts there, so it would help you you are organized to keep track.
Do each side at a time, do jack the car for easier access
and do remember to adjust the doors when you finish.
You undo the bumper
[Immagine: P3070715.JPG]

With the bumper off, start unbolting the wings
[Immagine: P3070714.JPG]

There are top bolts
[Immagine: P3070717.JPG]

Along side of each wing top
[Immagine: P3070718.JPG]

On the inside of the arches
[Immagine: P3070739.JPG]

And hidden bolts you have to reach from inside the wheel arch
[Immagine: P3070742.JPG]

Carefully remove the wing and dont forget to clean them well
[Immagine: P3070719.JPG]

When wings removed, almost everything is ready for the Arrow.
[Immagine: P3070720.JPG]

Use a screwdriver to carefully remove the rubber repeater gasket.
[Immagine: P3070721.JPG]

Test fit the brace. You have to fit the tight upper mount first.
[Immagine: P3070722.JPG]

Then the upper door mount
[Immagine: P3070723.JPG]

and then the lower mounts.
DO NOT tighten the bolts too much until you have
all the connection points fitted right.
[Immagine: P3070724.JPG]
[/img]

The only holes not already there, are two 10 mm holes on the to bracing point.
Use the holes of the Arrow to guide you where to drill.
[Immagine: P3070729.JPG]

From the inside of the wing, undo the fuse box,
[Immagine: P3070730.JPG]

to gain clearance and fit the metal plate provided.
[Immagine: P3070731.JPG]

Use the provided alen bolts to tighten
[Immagine: P3070732.JPG]

Start bolting all mounting points, top...

...door lower...
[Immagine: P3070727.JPG]

...and two front lower using the spacers provided.
[Immagine: P3070747.JPG]

Then tighten the bolts well, securing that you have adjusted your door hinges.
[Immagine: P3070738.JPG]

Et voila!

However some of you have already purchased Arrow Braces, these are NOT for sale now.

We discovered that a set of washers wasnt strong enough (the same problem occured with the Boss Frog product)
and we designed and made custom conical washers which will be ready next week.

They will first be send to the two Italian members that have bought the brace, then the other sets will be for sale.

There will be a special price for the MX5Italia, but its the shipping that's killing us, as post for one set is up to 50 euros.

However, if there can be a group buy of 10 sets and more I can hire a road courier to one place, with a cost around 250 euros for 10 sets.

BUT, these will be discussed when the GB opens, lets keep this space clean for discussing the bracing itself.

Hi mate, I've just read your email.
Luckily both sets haven't been mounted yet. So, I'll wait for new washers. Thanks in advance.

You can do the fitting by using thicker or double washers if you are in a hurry, but I will send the new ones anyway.

One of the first buyers from Belgium i think, experienced problems when fitting, but it turned out his car was hit in the past and it was abit bended.
So this is something every body should keep in mind.
