Dunque, ho posto il quesito su miata.net, il moderatore mi ha mandato un messaggio privato dicendomi che l’argomento era molto interessante e gli avrebbe dato visibilità, però anche se molti hanno visitato la discussione e mostrato interesse, sembra che nessuno abbia già fatto l’operazione. L’unica risposta utile è stata il consiglio di consultare qualche scuderia dell’Mx-5 cup Americana perché sembra che chi aveva auto “vecchie” doveva per regolamento (??) fare questa trasformazione. Ho quindi visto che il Team MER era sicuramente uno di questi perché vendevano una vettura con frontale NCFL e posteriore NC e infatti era un 2007. Ho quindi inviato una mail per chiedere informazioni sull’operazione chiedendo in particolar modo l’elenco pezzi e la compatibilità degli attacchi. Nello stesso giorno, come segue, mi ha subito risposto un certo Jason Saini, gentilissimo, anche se la parte in rosso non l’ho capita alla perfezione:

I'm happy to help, and it's a very easy conversion as everything attaches the same way. I don't have specific part numbers, and there are some options with grill and foglights but I'm going to describe everything you need:
You will need the following:
- Bumper cover
- Foam support under bumper cover
- Fender liners, upper and lower with some xtra clips
- Radiator undertray (not 100% sure, you might not need this)
- All grill pieces (choose a style, chrome ring or all black plastic)
- Foglight opening pieces (choose a style, either with lights or without lots of individual parts make this up)
- Headlights
If you want to completely convert the car, you'll also need the following:
- Side skirts/valences with some xtra clips for when you change them
- Rear bumper cover
- Taillights
Everything above bolts on, there are very little in the way of differences in how they attach. The tricky part is getting all the individual pieces for the grill and foglight openings that you choose, but if you look at the parts diagram for those pieces you will see everything invloved. I think there are like 6-8 pieces per foglight opening for example.
You will have to remove the upper metal portion of your old bumper cover and rivet it onto the new one, but it connects the same way. Everything else connects to the car in the same manner, so it's a very easy swap!
I thnk the car looks much better after the swap, so enjoy your 'new' car once you get done!

A livello di preventivi prendendo un pò di pezzi su ILL un po’ su Mx5Parts, per la trasformazione di tutto il frontale + fari, minigonne, posteriore + fari siamo sui 2.700 € + verniciatura + smontaggio/montaggio (che valuterò domani con carrozziere) – quello che si può ricavare dalla vendita di tutti i pezzi NC smontati.
Ora la questione è, compro una
NC 2.0 high 2007 con 19.000 km a 13.500 € + spesa trasformazione
o una
NCFL 1.8 Anniversary 2010 con 10.000 km a 16.500 € …. ????
