In the dry:

RE070 has amazing feeling, steering feels like go cart, very precise and confidence inspiring feeling. Rock solid in high speed corners. When it starts to slide it's a bit sudden, especially during braking if you lock a wheel. Not bad at all in a car that is as easy to drive as Evo, but could be a handful in mid engined MR2 for example. If you want awesome feeling in the dry this is the one to choose.

AD08 feels much softer, in comparison it feels like normal cheap road tyre but actually is not bad at all compared to most tyres, it's just that steering feel, overall stability and stiffness is no comparison to RE070. On the other hand AD08 hangs very good on the limit, it's almost impossible to completely break the grip in dry. It will just slide more and it will not be any faster if pushed too far.

It took me a lot of time to trust AD08 in high speed corners the way I immediately did with RE070. You just have to mentally ignore all the extra moves that the car is making and be prepared to correct the line during corner entry as the tyres flex. You will not lose grip, it just feels like that. If you want to be able to do stupid things mid corner and still get away with it or push like mad and slide around in controlled fashion this is the one to choose.

Grip level is similar, on several tracks I was within 0.5 seconds with both of these tyres.

In the wet RE070 grip level is lower and the distance between grip and big slide is very small. AD08 is not spectacular either and grip level is not too good but as it's softer it's easier to drive and again will hang at the limit quite nicely.

On the road AD08 is bit quieter but not a big difference. RE070 will tramline more but will also have much sharper steering feel in the midrange which could also be annoying in daily driver but awesome in weekend toy. Wear is almost equal both road and track.

During this year my confidence in AD08 has grown over the time but I still miss the feeling of the RE070 that was just amazingly fun to drive in the dry.

Bottom line is that they have very different characteristics but in the dry will be pretty much as fast in the same car.

Non vado in pista ed uso la miatina tutti i giorni come prima auto... inoltre devo fare l'omologazione quindi le gomme che comprerò saranno quelle che avrò a libretto come misure...
OVVIAMNETE considerando le ultime spese vorrei un qlc che non mi svenasse e che nel sostituire non abbia misure particolari che alzino il prezzo delle gomme...
